POSITION:Laboratory Analyst (Multiple Openings)

DUTIES:Assist with analysis, extraction, and library preparation of sequencing in laboratory samples for pathogens. Input data into databases. Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment. Utilize appropriate genome assembly methods for identification of novel bacterial genomes. Isolate, identify, and prepare specimens for examination. Prepare media, record data, and analyze findings. Collaborate with internal and external customers to provide support. Clean, maintain, and prepare work areas.

RATE OF PAY:$44,075.00 - 54,080.00 per Year

DUTIES: Assist with collection and maintenance of various cell cultures received by the laboratory. Assist with laboratory tests to examine and analyze bacterial growth within the cultures. Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment. Isolate, identify, and prepare specimens for examination. Prepare media, record data, and analyze findings. Perform environmental monitoring and cleaning to ensure samples are properly stored in accordance with strict SOPs (standard operating procedures) and accreditation requirements. Maintain storage of frozen cultures.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires at least a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or a closely related field and at least six (6) months of experience in an ISO certified laboratory (any title) setting up, monitoring, and cleaning laboratory equipment and logging activities.

RATE OF PAY:$44,075 - 60,000.00 per Year
